Industry Report on Marketing with Discs

According to IRMA, the major benefits of using discs for direct marketing, versus traditional print media are:

Greater response rates. The research showed respondents with response rates on average of 7% which is nearly 3 times higher than printed brochures.

Greater remembrance of the “message” on the disc i.e. recall of the information 50% to 60% more than from printed materials.

Better cost efficiencies in terms of production and distribution (in most cases 10% to 40% less expensive than catalogs, booklets, etc.)

Enhanced level of communication and/or providing information i.e. explaining product or service with sound and full motion.

More effective response tracking and database collection

Benefits of Internet links to web sites for immediate ordering of products/services and obtaining the most current and/or additional information

CDs and DVDs stand out over “flat mail” thus breaking through the “mailbox clutter” of traditional direct mail: Most recipients feel “singled out”; recipients perceive CDs and DVDs as “valuable” and “expensive,” versus traditional mail pieces. Thus they are worth viewing, unlike print, which is often disregarded.

Minnesota Communications Association International
"Wi-Fi - What's it all about?"

Wireless is in the air--and increasingly in newspaper headlines and magazine stories. It's being touted as the next big thing about to revolutionize our lives, by taking the broadband Internet we currently access and use through cables and digital phone lines and extending it into our flexible, unattached lives. It's futuristic, yet familiar--it was predicted to arrive in the late 1990's, but the bursting of the Internet bubble and the tech slowdown sidetracked it until now. Join us at the downtown Minneapolis Development Center of Implex.net, a leading Wi-Fi solutions provider, for an expert guide to what this Wi-Fi technology is all about and where it's heading.

Cost:
Free for members,
$15 for non-members,
$5 for students
