What is your pricing? |
1) Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely!
DiscBurn unconditionally guarantees all products and services performed. We shall replace any product that is deemed defective by reason of workmanship or materials. |
2) How fast can you turn around my project?
We can rush almost any project up to same day. Be advised that there are rush fees associated with projects that are rushed for completion earlier than 3 business days. |
3) Can you print my logo or artwork to the surface of discs that I can burn myself?
Yes, we can! This is a great idea for people and businesses that would like to have a professional image and not use labels. We use the highest quality printers: Everest II Photorealistic Color Thermal for low volume and Silk Screen and Offset Printing for higher volumes.
|
4) Can you run the first duplicated disc to make sure it works?
We guarantee an exact copy of the master disc you provide. However, if you request this we will gladly do it for you. We are also happy to to provide more in depth testing of the CDs at our hourly rate of $85.
|
5) What kind of artwork do I need?
This will vary depending on the project that you order.
For Duplication (EVEREST thermal prints) we require .bmp, .jpg., or .tif.
For Replication (silk screen and offset) we require Illustrator, Quark, or EPS files.
|
6) Should the disc artwork have the center removed (be cropped)?
No, you do not need to crop the images that you provide for printing. In fact it works best if you do not. Our printers will automatically stop at the inner and outer edges of the disc. The disc image printing specs are primarily for your benefit when laying out text and images to be sure they are not cut off. Please be careful to not layout your text to close to any edge.
|
7) Will the printed image on the CD smear?
Not on DiscBurn discs!
EVEREST II Color Photorealistic thermal Printing is the most robust image available for duplication discs. If a competitor has lower prices it is most likely because they use inferior printing technologies.
|
8) Will the data work on both Mac & PC?
We provide exact duplicates of the master you provide. Additionally, we do provide mastering services for $85/hour and utilize ISSO 9660 to enable the disc to be read by both operating systems. You should also be aware that under ISSO 9660 the file names are required to be 8 characters or less. If your files names are too long then it will not work on the MAC with out changing them. This process should also take into consideration your application that has to access those files. If it was designed to recognize any file names that are longer than 8 characters, the application will have to be rewritten as well.
|
9) Can you send me a sample disc before I decide?
Yes, we can send you a sample of a disc with a printed image on it.
Contact us and let us know you would like one. |
10) How do you want me to pay?
All new customers must pay prior to placing your order. After we have completed two projects for you, you can fill out a credit application for terms. Once you have been approved, we can offer you net 30. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and
checks. |

|
15) What services do you offer?
Our
CD and
DVD duplication service offers a
convenient and fast way to duplicate
and distribute professional-quality
color-printed CDs and DVDs with
custom packaging options.
We can either replicate or burn the
content that you send us onto
professional-grade CD-Rs and DVD-Rs
and print them with full-color
graphics using either on disc
Thermal printing, silk screening or
offset printing, depending on the
order size and production type you
have selected. Our
online duplication service
allows you to create and order CDs
and DVDs 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
|
16) Are CD-Rs and DVD-Rs
lower-quality than glass-mastered
discs?
No. We use high quality, CD-R
media and professional-grade CD
printers / burners which result in a
product that is nearly
indistinguishable from a traditional
glass-mastered disc. Very old CD
readers and players sometimes have
trouble reading CD-Rs instead of
CDs, but this situation is very
rare. In terms of the data on the
disc itself, there is absolutely no
difference between a CD-R and a CD
in terms of sound quality or data
integrity – they both contain
exactly the same digital information
- bits are bits! Similarly, our DVD-Rs
are professional quality discs with
exceptional data integrity. Our DVD-Rs
are compatible with all
computer-based DVD drives and most
standalone DVD players.
