The
Scoop on DVD Replication
DVD Replication
is a process in which a glass master is created. A metal
die is created from that master, and blank discs are stamped
with the metal die and encoded pits that are arranged
to represent the binary code of the recorded material.
A laser beam is used to read the binary code off of the
reflective surface of the disc. The light beam is either
reflected back from the flat surface or dispersed when
the beam strikes a pit. A sensor records whether the light
is reflected or dispersed, and based on these changing
values, the DVD player reconstructs the original binary
code.
DVD
Replication Services
Similar to CDs, we can provide you with DVD Replication.
Although, there is a difference. With DVDs there are multiple
formats competing for standardization. Contact
us so that we can provide a tailored solution to your
requirements.
DVD
Replication
We can provide any volume of replicated discs. We provide
silkscreen or offset printing - you choose.
Offset
Printing
Offset printing is a technique
in which ink is spread on a metal plate with etched images,
then transferred to an intermediary surface, and finally
applied to the disc by pressing the paper against the
intermediary surface.
Offset printing is the highest quality
printing available on disc! You get 175 lines per inch
of vibrant color.
Silkscreen Printing
Silk screen printing is a process where ink is applied
to a silk or nylon screen and penetrates areas of the
screen not blocked by the stencil. By using several stencils
a number of colors may be employed in a single print.
With larger quantities we can provide you with pantone
matching to give you the most control available with printing
your artwork. You get 120 lines per inch.
